Product Guidelines

Diffusers
The liquid in a diffuser contains chemicals that surfaces and skin don’t like. Please find below our safety guidelines for when using a fragranced diffuser.

  1. The diffuser liquid can cause irritation to the skin and may cause an allergic reaction. If the diffuser liquid does come into contact with skin, wash with plenty of soap and water. If irritation or a rash occurs, seek medical advice/ attention.
  2. The diffuser liquid causes serious eye irritation – if diffuser liquid comes into contact with eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do and continue rinsing. If irritation persists, seek medical advice / attention.
  3. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  4. If diffuser liquid is spilt on a surface, thoroughly clean the liquid off. Ensure you wipe any residual diffuser liquid from the bottom of the vessel before placing on a level surface.
  5. Always put your reed diffuser on a level surface.
  6. Do not place the diffuser directly onto, or allow the reeds to touch polished, painted, leather or plastic surfaces, or electrical equipment as accidental spillage or liquid transfer may cause damage to certain materials.

Candles
We advise burning your candle for periods of no longer than three hours at a time.

  1. Discontinue burning your candle when there is 10mm / 1cm of wax is remaining.
  2. Always burn your candle on a stable and heat resistant surface, away from drafts or items that can catch alight.
  3. Never leave a burning candle unattended, near children or pets.
  4. If you’re burning more than one candle at a time, space your candles approximately 100mm (10cm) apart.

Bedheads
If something spills on your upholstery, use a clean, damp cloth to soak up the liquid. Never scrub the cloth and grind the stain into the fabric. If needed, spot clean using a water-based shampoo or upholstery cleaner. When using a cleaner, test it in an inconspicuous area first. We highly recommend consulting a professional cleaning service. To maintain your upholstery, use the hand-held nozzle on your vacuum cleaner to gently lift dust and debris.

Wheat Bags
Wheat bags are not recommended for people who may have reduced awareness of temperature or feeling in their skin e.g. Diabetics, people with nerve damage, or people with an impairment that prevents them from recognising they may be burnt.

- Do not use if the wheat bag smells or looks burnt. If it does smell or look burnt, allow to cool on a non-combustible surface and then throw away.
- Please keep the wheat hydrated, especially if you use the wheatbag frequently as this will reduce the event of the grains drying out and burning. If you do use your wheat bag regularly, we recommend spraying the wheat bag lightly with a water spray bottle.

- To avoid burns, do not use directly on skin. Use a cover, clothing, or a towel between wheat bag and skin.
- Always give the wheat bag a gentle shake to even out heat before use. If too hot, do not use straight away, allow the wheat bag to cool down first. If the wheat bag requires more heat, place in microwave for 10 second intervals until desired heat is reached. Do not heat wheat bag in microwave for more than two and a half minutes.
- Do not use wheat bag on the same part of the body for more than five minutes continuously as continuous heat may burn.
- Use with caution, wheat bags can burn skin when used incorrectly and particularly with the elderly and children.
- Do not let children microwave wheat bags.
- Always supervise children when using a wheat bag.
- Microwave only, do not heat wheat bag in gas or electric ovens or on stovetops.
- Place wheat bag flat in centre of microwave plate and ensure it is rotating freely.
